UK mobile carrier O2 will be exclusively offering the Glamour Red version of the popular HTC One M8 smartphone, alongside the Amber Gold and Metal Grey color options.
The HTC One M8 is considered one of the best smartphones currently available on the market, and it boasts high-end specs and features that make it worthy of the flagship title. The handset also boasts a highly-acclaimed design with a premium metal build that makes it look and feel stylish, while its dual camera setup allows for a superior camera experience.
The mobile operator will start offering the Glamour Red color option of the flagship HTC One M8 starting from Monday, Aug. 4, but it will continue to offer the existing Amber Gold and Metal Grey versions of the smartphone as well. Interested customers will be able to get the new variant on O2's Refresh tariffs, getting up to 8GB of data.
As a reminder, the HTC One M8 powerhouse sports a 5-inch full HD display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor clocked at 2.3GHz, 2GB of RAM, 16GB or 32GB of internal storage capacity, as well as microSD card support for additional memory of up to 128GB. Other specs include a 5-megapixel front camera for self-shots and video calls, and a dual Ultrapixel camera setup on the back. On the software side, the handset runs Android 4.4 KitKat with HTC's own custom user interface, HTC Sense 6.0, on top.
"Honed from a single piece of aluminium, the HTC One M8 continues to flaunt the attention to detail and innovation that earned the first generation HTC One (M7) a prestigious iF Design Award," said O2, as cited by PC Advisor.
Aside from the new color option, the HTC One M8 from O2 will remain the same in terms of specifications. O2's Refresh tariff, meanwhile, allows customers to pay only for monthly minutes, texts, and data once they've had a device for two years. However, customers can also choose to upgrade early simply by paying the remaining balance of that half of the contract.
O2 currently shows only the Amber Gold and Metal Grey color options for now, but in August customers will get exclusive access to the Glamour Red model as well.
