Capcom recently announced that one of their horror video game series, "Resident Evil 5" will be available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles on June 28.
As part of the company's 20th anniversary celebration of the franchise, they have decided to re-launch the multiplayer zombie filled game. The first one to have a co-op play with a combat system developed from its predecessor, according to Engadget.
Meanwhile, the re-release game will showcase an enhanced 1080p resolution and frame rate along with previous DLC like "Desperate Escape" and "Lost in Nightmare" stories. It will also feature "Mercenaries United" mode along with more characters to be unlocked.
The game's previous PC version feature "No Mercy" mode will also be included. "No Mercy Mode takes advantage of the extra power of current-gen consoles to throw even larger hordes of enemies at players," said Capcom.
"The Mercenaries United consolidates every piece of Mercenaries content that was originally released for RE5."
The "Resident Evil 5" will cost $20 and the installment will be more of an arcade shooter gameplay that challenges gamers in acquiring more zombie kills and completing missions in a certain time limit, reported by GameSpot.
Capcom explained that," Two players can team up to play through the intense and extensive campaign together, which includes boating through gator-infested swamps and exploring ancient ruins beneath Kijuju," according to PlayStationLifeStyle.
"Co-op in this game builds off of the satisfying, deliberate, and revolutionary gunplay introduced in Resident Evil 4," the statement continued.
The game's developer and publisher revealed that gamers will have the ability to team up in both online and local split-screen play.
Furthermore, Capcom is rumored to be working on "Resident Evil 7" with Jordan Amaro who also designed games such as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and P.T. (Silent Hills).
