Sony Xperia X Review: Latest Sony Lineup Makes Expensive Comeback
Shilpa ChakravortyJust last month Sony announced a new series of devices for the US market - the Xperia X family. The latest lineup of Sony Xperia includes Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia X Performance, and Xperia XA Ultra.
Each of these handsets come with a unique set of specifications and price tags. However, of all the handsets launched in the series, Sony Xperia X is the most expensive, at a price of $699.
It comes with a 5" full HD display, 3GB RAM, Snapdragon 820 processor, 2,700-mAh battery, a 23 MP rear camera, and a fingerprint scanner, reported Droid Life.
Notably, the camera of Sony Xperia X is the best in its class, possibly the second best after Samsung Galaxy S7's camera. It is also easy to use with intelligent auto and manual modes for users to switch in between.
The phone also boasts of Android Marshmallow OS, which runs on the Xperia UI. The phone is decent performance wise and can easily handle everyday tasks. The phone naturally comes with a 64 GB of internal memory, which can be extended to 256 GB via external microSD card.
Additionally, users can also experience the 4G LTE connectivity with features like NFC, Bluetooth and WiFi easily available.
However, as with every other handset, there's a negative side to the phone as well. It comes with a 2700 mAh battery, so it might be a problem for heavy users. For moderate usage, the phone will be available throughout the day. Additionally, the price tag of $699 can be a deciding factor for majority of the users.
All the handsets of Sony Xperia X series is available for preorder. In addition, each of the handsets bought through Best Buy comes with a free 64 GB microSD card. However, the handsets are also available on Amazon.
