Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 May Launch In September
Dheeraj RThe latest update on the Microsoft Surface phone 2016 suggested that the device might be unveiled in September. According to the reports from the Chinese social networking giant Weibo, Microsoft will reveal the latest smartphone range at the IFA 2016 event in Berlin.
Based on the rumors, it is touted that the Microsoft Surface phone is expected to be made available to the customers early next year in March 2017. However, the technology giant has not given any official confirmation about the release date of the device.
Apart from the release date rumors, the leaked renders from the Chinese microblogging website also hinted that the Microsoft giant smartphone is expected to sport a 5.7-inch 2K screen with AMOLED display panel.
Furthermore, it is reported that the new Microsoft phone might feature a Snapdragon 830 chipset or Intel Apollo Lake processor and will be made available in three variants depending on the RAM and the storage capacity.
Reports claimed that the base variant will consist of a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage whereas the mid-range Surface phone will feature a 6 GB RAM and 128 GB of storage on board. But the main attraction of the latest Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 is its high-end variant, which is rumored to sport a huge 8 GB RAM and 500 GB of internal storage.
Moreover, the Microsoft phone will consist of a 21-megapixel Carl Zeiss lens rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera with triple LED flash. Besides, the phone is also rumored to sport a USB Type-C port for faster data transfers. Also, the Surface device might run on the latest Windows 10 build codenamed as Redstone 2, which will provide the users with an excellent user interface.
In terms of the price, the basic model of the Microsoft Surface phone 2016 is also rumored to be priced at $700 while the premium variant is expected to be made available for $1,099.
