Blizzard Entertainment has made this weekend special by giving a sneak peek into the third installment of its dungeon-crawling game - Diablo 3. Most of you may have enjoyed the weekend playing the open beta of Diablo 3, which is scheduled to end on April 23 at 10 a.m. PDT. But many Diablo fanboys, being victims of server errors, are throwing flames at Blizzard. Ending the frustration and cooling the anger of its precious users, Blizzard has posted a handy FAQ on Diablo forum.
Diablo fans also flooded Mobile & Apps with comments. Most of them were griping about the server problems:
"Been in a lot. Just keep trying and stop crying." - Joewat
"Just a head's up. It's not an open beta. It's a demo, of a single player game, that requires you to queue as if you were in an overloaded MMORPG.
"I would caution folks to stop and consider if they wish to purchase a single-player game that requires MMORPG style server queues and other problems, and that falls apart if too many folks are just trying out an extremely limited single scenario demo," - Truncheon
"The Diablo 3 Experience:
"Servers down, try again later. Want offline single player? TOO BAD," - Phat Dong
"didnt even get to play dumb f**king errors better not have that shit when the game comes out" - Jon
The most common problem is error number 37 - "The servers are busy at this time. Please try again later." Diablo servers can handle thousands of users at a time. But the popularity of Diablo franchise has gone through the roof and this is a reason why the servers have no space to accommodate more players. Currently there is no fix to this problem. Players just have to keep trying logging in to the game again and again.
Error 12 is for Korean players as open beta test is not available in Korea. Blizzard said it will send invitations to Korean player to take part in closed beta test on April 23. Surprisingly, some other players are also ending up at this error. They can try changing the account information like password and location. If they are still getting the same error, it is recommended to register another account.
In case of error 3003, change the location to "The Americas" in account settings as the stress test is being held in United States.
As for the stress test itself, deciding whether the stress test is a success or failure depends on the way you look at it. It is a beta test so few errors are expected.
Eventually, Blizzard is going to stabilize them as the game is scheduled for release on May 15.
Diablo 3 game is also available for pre-purchase digitally on Battle.net. Blizzard is offering an encrypted copy of Diablo 3, which will become operational on May 15 as servers will go live on that day.
And, in case you're wondering whether Diablo 3 is worth all the trouble, this is what one player (Truncheon) had to say:
"Once in, the game is completely undemanding. There is no risk, no chance of failure, you just sort of run around clearing the "fog of war" and effortlessly killing anything you encounter, while tons of blue gear drops from everything. Quite boring, actually."
