Assassin's Creed 3 Coming October 30: Ubisoft Releases Trailer [Video]

Earlier this year, Ubisoft announced that Assassin's Creed 3 is going to be bigger than any of its previous game. And keeping to its promise, earlier this week, the game maker released a gameplay trailer of the upcoming history-oriented game showing how big it could be.

The rooftop jumping action of Revelations and Brotherhood has been replaced by woodland rowdiness in Assassin's Creed 3. The game features a new protagonist named Connor Kenway, who is born to English father and Mohawk mother. For us, the legendary silent killer is back in the battlefield to slaughter the enemies - cut their throats, put a dagger to heart, beat them with tomahawk or even hang them from trees. Player's inventory includes an array of weapons like bow, sword, flintlock pistols, rifle and rope dart.

The game is inspired from American history, leaving Italian battles behind. In reality, most Native American tribes remained neutral or supported British, while Mohawks were involved in forming the resistance against rebel settlements. Going against the British redcoats, Connor shakes hands with Americans. We may see Connor standing with historic leaders like George Washington, Benjamin Franklin and Charles Lee.

Like every big game, there will be mini-games in the new installment of Assassin's Creed. We are talking about hunting missions here. The trailer shows a scene where Connor is attacked by a bear, showing that we could expect wildly creatures in the game. However, no need to fear as the master hunter is with us.

Assassin's Creed 3 is being developer for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Windows PC, Mac OS X and even Nintendo's upcoming Wii U console. The action-adventure game is set to release on October 30, 2012. However, it is already up for preorders on GameStop.

Check the video below for the official gameplay trailer.
