The new Nexus 7 is still the subject of internet rumors and tech speculators, and it's apparently on track for release before the end of the year. Here's what we know so far about the Nexus 7 2016's UK release date, price, specification and features.

As per the rumors, the upcoming tablet from Google won't be called Nexus 7. Interestingly, it will be a Huawei built 7-inch tablet from Google.

Just recently Huawei has allegedly confirmed that it is making a Nexus device for 2016. People have been pointing to the fact Google recently removed the HTC-made Nexus 9 from its official online store as evidence that a new Nexus 7 must be imminent. That tablet is now two year's old.

However, there hasn't been a single leaked image of the new Nexus 7.

It is also rumoured that the new tablet will follow the paths of Google Pixel C, which both the build and the software from Google itself. So it would seem strange for the company to now involve a third party in its tablet production process.

With the Nexus 7 Google caught the attention of the masses and opened them to the possibility of an affordable, powerful, high-quality and truly portable new computing platform. Seven million units of the original tablet were sold at a rate of a million tablets per month, and perhaps Google is wanting more of the same in the 2016.

According to latest rumors the Nexus 7 will run not Android Nougat but the new Andromeda, a rumoured mash-up of the Chrome OS and Android platforms.

The new Nexus 7 2016 is rumoured to pack with 7in Quad-HD (2560x1440) pressure-sensitive display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, Adreno 530 GPU, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, MicroSD support up to 2TB and 13Mp rear camera.

Rumour has it the new Nexus 7 will be another budget tablet like its predecessors, so we would not expect it to be priced any higher than £199.
