Mistakes that Microsoft Should be Conscious & Watch Out for in Xbox Scorpio this 2017
Regin OlimberioMicrosoft cannot afford to commit any mistakes this 2017 whenever Xbox Scorpio is on the table. The tech giant has made too many aggressive moves in 2016 and most of them result into something positive. But then, the new year presents bigger and fiercer competition from rivals PlayStation and Nintendo so Microsoft should watch out.
Looking back at the recently concluded year, Microsoft was able to pump additional life in its console business through Xbox One S. Microsoft has also announced Xbox Scorpio and gamers are expecting that it is packing a wallop never before seen in gaming landscape. In terms of games, there are many exclusives that threaded within the fence of must-haves like "Forza Horizon 3" and "ReCore." 2016 has indeed been a great year for Microsoft and will continue to be this 2017 if they will NOT make the following mistakes.
Remember that Xbox One grand release where Microsoft managed to stole wide support and fanbase from PlayStation to make their own army of followers? Xbox Scorpio has the capability to repeat that story again - if Microsoft remains true to the promise of unleashing the most powerful console. Secondly, pricing is a huge factor in making Microsoft afloat in the gaming world.
One worry over the latter premise is that Microsoft might take financial hit to make Xbox Scorpio financially viable for consumers. While Microsoft is nothing new to taking a hit, gaming console history simply tells that anything pricey don't sell.
Here is a nice point listed by GamingBolt: Microsoft should impress upon would-be buyers the benefits of buying Xbox Scorpio. Rival PlayStation is an excellent example of miscommunication when they made PS4 Pro but failed to make the gamers realize that there is certain advantage to it. Isn't it a school of thought that PlayStation 4 Pro is just a minor upgrade from base PS4? This is not the case for Xbox Scorpio wherein Microsoft is leaping into new generation, not just an upgrade.
