'Diablo III' Update 1.15 Adds PlayStation 4 Pro Support, Revives Pixelated Experience From Original Game

"Diablo III" fans beware, there is a January treat in PSN for those who plays PlayStation 4 as update 1.15 hits the road and original "Diablo" is available through hybrid form. Blizzard subtly dubbed 1.15 as "anniversary update" and is available throughout the month.

Again, "Diablo III" is a requisite to access the "original" game through a portal. This presents a nostalgic journey where gamers can relive hunting those "Diablo" cultist while hoarding loots. "Diablo" players can also scavenge those corpses for lesser items just to kill time.

Actually, this original "Diablo" update is a superficial "downgrade" of the latest iteration "Diablo III." What developers did is cover dungeons with pixelated filter for vintage "Diablo" effect. They also limit the movements into the original eight directions while locking the camera. To finish with original "Diablo" ambiance, sounds were made similar to previous iterations.

What could be the strongest pint in this "Diablo III" twist is the rebuilt user interface that is reminiscent of the old orb design. Wait, this January treat doesn't end with presenting the "Diablo" that new gaming generation have grown up with. Blizzard added support for recent hardware too. An extensive discussion about "Diablo III" changes are being discussed in Reddit.

Meanwhile, those who own PlayStation 4 Pro can enjoy "Diablo III" update 1.15 in 4K resolution but with the same pixelated twist, DualShockers explained. This is possible through the padded 4K support specifically for this mid-generation upscaled 4K.

For those who are using PC and Xbox One, the same "Diablo III" update works with them as well. The only difference is the 4K support that, of course, only PlayStation 4 Pro can accommodate as of yet.

Make no mistake about it, "Diablo III" update 1.15 and its corresponding original "Diablo" gameplay is not a walk in the park but a daunting task rather. Most monsters received improvements over their quality of life. Worry not though, killing Belial and other bosses is not impossible.
