Top 10 Most Evil Video Game Characters of All Time (PART 2)

Vamien McKalin

Not too long ago we published part one of an article called the Top 10 Most Evil Video Game Characters of All Time. Here we have part 2 showcasing the top 5 baddies the world of gaming have ever seen. Enjoy.

#5 Gannondorf (Legend of Zelda)

The big bad ultimate badass in the Legend of Zelda. Otherwise known as Ganon, this dude makes the list due to his cunningness and how powerful and cruel he is. Gannondorf is mostly known for kidnapping the princess, which in the long run had him getting his ass handed down to him by a child with a tiny sword and shield, ouch.

There have been many more villains in the Legend of Zelda franchise, but none came close Ganon, he's the ultimate baddy.

#4 General Shepherd (Call of Duty)

This one will definitely come as a surprise to many; no one would have expected us to choose General Shepherd as our #4. Fact of the matter is, Shepherd deserves this honor; the man started a war between the United States and Russia, betrayed his own comrades by having Ghost and Roach shot to death then burnt. If that's not enough, he tried to kill Captain Price and Soap, but he ultimately failed, which led to his death.

In the current generation of video games, not many villains stand out as a true bad-ass. However, despite the shortage of memorable villains, General Shepherd stepped up the podium with his bad self to take the crown.

#3 Needles Kane (Twisted Metal)

To many, he is known as Sweet Tooth, but in all honesty, Sweet Tooth is the name of the vechle Needles Kane uses to cause havoc in Twisted Metal. Needles Kane is a clowned theme serial killer who is also a bit of a psychopath, and the series' most notable character, mainly due to his flaming head. Needles is one evil guy. He thinks of nothing except death and causing chaos, and all of this he does pretty well with the help of Sweet Tooth.

Needles Kane's main reason for entering the Twisted Metal contest to find his best friend, Harold (which is a flipping lunch box, for crying out loud). So basically, Needles Kane started out by killing people over a lunch box, and if that isn't evil enough, then what if he was a cannibal? Yeah, we know, that doesn't make any sense, heh!

#2 Sephiroth (Final Fantasy VII)

Oh yeah, you know this bad boy was going to make the list. It is not possible to create a top 10 villain list without Sephiroth being a part of it. He is that awesome, or we could be exaggerating a little bit here. Sephiroth is the main villain in the hit 1997 title, Final Fantasy VII, a game that came out on the original PlayStation.

Sephiroth was a member of SOLDIER, the best there is. However, he took to the darkside after misinterpreting his origins, thinking he is the only remaining survivor of the ANCIENTS. After the madness took over, Sephiroth proceeded to burn the town of Nibelheim to the ground, killing many of its residents.

Sephiroth was killed after a battle with the Cloud Strife, the main character of Final Fantasy VII. However, before dying he fell to the lifestream where he lived on to return for the sole purpose of becoming a god and causing havoc on the planet. Still, the one thing Sephiroth did to secure his place as a true bad-ass will never be forgotten by the gamers who witnessed the tragedy; an action made everyone want to have his head at the stake.

What is that you wonder? He pierced Aerith with his Masamune sword, killing her on the spot while she attempted to summon Holy. For many gamers, this brought tears to their eyes, something many games have been trying to do since with little or no success.

Sephiroth is a true bad-ass, and will forever live on, he will never be just a memory.

#1 Kefka (Final Fantasy VI)

It was difficult aligning the top 3 on the list, but for some reason we chose to go with Kefka as our #1 baddy. Kefka is the main villain in Final Fantasy VI, the guy who changed the World of Balance to the World of Ruins. When the Triads awoke from their slumber, Kefka drained their power, which in turn made him a god with immense powers.

From the ruins, Kefka built a tower seemingly known as Kefka's Tower, from there he ruled over the world, striking down anyone who might try to go against him.

In terms of character, Kefka is maniacal, short-tempered, flamboyant, destructive, and cruel. He is a complete psychopath with no regard for human life or remorse for any atrocities that he commits. On the contrary, he, in fact, finds amusement in the suffering and death of others. He tends to crack dark jokes at times, also sometimes breaking out into hysterical laughter upon causing death, destruction, and mayhem, and possesses a hatred of virtually everything in the world.

Wrap Up

Well, this is the end; you have just been served the top 10 evil villains of all time. Obviously, some of you might not like what you see here, and if that is the case, sound off in the comments and let us have it.
