Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL & Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL Receives Android 7.0 Nougat Update
JulianneAsus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL and Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL users are currently receiving the Android 7.0 Nougat update from their mobile devices. Following its released back on September last year, both Asus flagships are only two of many flagships that company has released an upgrade.
BGR reports that the Android 7.0 Nougat rollout for these devices is currently available in the Philippines only and a global rollout will begin sooner or later. For now, there is still no official word from the company on when other Zenfone 3 smartphones such as the Zenfone Max, Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Zenfone 3 Laser and more.
The news outlet further reports that the Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade will add features to the Asus Zenfone 3 like Multi-window support that allows launching two applications at the same time. Users can minimize or maximize either of the apps used by a user and can also move images or text from one app to the other.
The Android 7.0 Nougat upgrade come along with a Doze battery feature that debuted with Android Marshmallow. But the revamp feature from the upgrade has an increased optimization for Android services.
Meanwhile, Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe ZS550KL flagship received a system update as version 12.40.108.17 will bring changes in the phone's stability and performance. The update also adds Pure mode in Audio Wizard when users plug in headphones.
The Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL and Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL that debuted in India in August last year comes with 2GHz octa-core with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC. Asus Zenfones also comes with a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera, connectivity options like 4G Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth and FM Radio.
The Asus Zenfone 3 ZE520KL features a 5.2-inch full-HD display screen, a 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage, and 2650mAh battery. While the Asus Zenfone 3 ZE552KL sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display screen, a 4GB of RAM with a 64GB of internal storage, and a 3000mAh battery. Memory on both devices can be expanded up to 128GB via microSD card.
