Images of the Metal Gear Solid 5 logo, and accompanying text below the logo supposedly from an early scene or opening movie of the game (which says "The moment we were cast out of heaven, we became monsters.") are apparently nothing more than fakes being pulled over the eyes of eager gamers like so much wool, much like Solid Snake would pull a box (not made of wool mind you) over his head.
Metal Gear mastermind Hideo Kojima flatly stated that the images which have recently popped up on the internet claiming to be from a private room showing at last week's San Diego Comic-Con of early Metal Gear Solid 5 footage are fake, fake, and fake (in other words, they're fake).
These grainy, supposedly back-room images were given some additional, albeit unintended support from Epic Games' Cliff Bleszinski, who tweeted that he was shown some crazy stuff by Kojima at a back room showing at that same Comic Con; though he didn't specify whether that crazy stuff was Metal Gear Solid 5 crazy, or just some other regular crazy stuff.
It was also further confirmed that Project Ogre, the still shrouded in secrecy project that Kojima has been working on (while shrouded in secrecy) for some time is NOT Metal Gear Solid 5, which he had said before, and has said again, after those rumors picked up some new steam following the release of the fake images.
Metal Gear Solid 5 was officially confirmed as being in development on June 20 of this year by Kojima himself, though little is known about the title as of yet, and it isn't expected to be completed for quite some time. It is however expected that MSG 5 will use the Fox Engine, the same engine which will power Project Ogre.
