Luchador Oscar Pack Blamed After 'Gears of War 4' Server Crashed Again; Versus & Horde Modes are Affected

Players opening the new "Gears of War 4" game packs all at once caused the server to crash for a second time in a week. It appears that the server is getting confused and beaten up to the point that both Versus and Horde mode were affected by the high influx of players.

There are several rants posted on "Gears of War 4" subReddit and it seems that apart from not being able to connect to the server, other issues surfaced as well. Some players are reporting that they lost their credits, items or gears. There are interesting cases of characters not dying nor taking any damage as well. This glitch sounds good for "Gears of War 4" players who want to conquer the game but bad for those who are up for challenge.

To recall, there was a server problem during the weekend but "Gears of War 4" appeased disgruntled players with "rewards." The Coalition offered double XP and extended the limited time pack as a response to angry players. "Gears of War 4" chose not to acknowledge server problem and is silent on this recent problem though.

According to ControllerCrusade, there are indications that previous "Gears of War 4" server problems were caused by packs issued before the weekend. This is the same theory today because The Coalition released Luchador Oscar pack, replete with set of cards that is available for limited time.

When players jumped into the event, it created a bottleneck when everybody is trying to check their "Gears of War 4" goodies. Consider the server problem as similar instance during Holiday Rush when everyone is trying to grab as much as they can.

Lastly, it is unclear whether "Gears of War 4" will extend Luchador Oscar to accommodate players who want to receive the pack but can't get through. There are no information neither if there will be another double XP event just like last Sunday.
