'Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia' Now Available In Japan; Sneak Peak Into The 'Final Fantasy' Fork
Nicole T.Square Enix has kicked off the celebration for 30th anniversary of "Final Fantasy," which will run through the rest of the year. Among the bonuses to commemorate the event is the mobile game "Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia." In addiiton, Nissin, the people behind the famous Cup Noodles, are joining the fun.
"Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia" is a smartphone game that is set in the same world as the original "Dissidia Final Fantasy." The original version is a fighting experience, with elements of RPG. In this universe, popular characters from each of the titles from the main series are featured.
"Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia" is an RPG game and follows the story of legendary "Final Fantasy" characters gathered before two gods to help save the world. According to Gematsu, these characters are presented with voice-actors to bring them to life. Aerith of "Final Fantasy VII" will make an appearance, voiced by actress Maaya Sakamoto.
The battle system of "Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia" combines the Brave System of "Dissidia" and the command-based system of "Final Fantasy" titles. There are also new abilities for each character, including the summons.
"Dissidia Final Fantasy: Opera Omnia" is now available in Japan. For iOS users, simply go to the App Store to download. It's also available on Android via Google Play.
In related news, Square Enix is not the only one celebrating the franchise's anniversary. Tjhe people behind Cup Noodles, Nissin, have also joined in on the fun and released a special set of the instant ramen featuring the bosses from the "Final Fantasy" franchise.
However, fans are mostly waiting for the oversized "Final Fantasy" fork Nissin will create. According to Polygon, the "Ultima Weapon Fork" will be extremely limited, with the company only making 30 of these. By oversized, we mean the fork measures 60 centimeters long.
The only way to acquire this "FF" fork is by winning a lottery. Those who buy the special release Cup Noodles with the "Final Fantasy" bosses have the chance to win one of these items. These special Cup Noodles are already for sale in Japan for 6,048 yen or $53.
