Square Enix has announced previously that "Final Fantasy VII Remake" will be an episodic release. This could be because the developers promised they won't leave out any big, important and iconic scene or element from the original from the remake. Yet, some are still asking what happens in between episodes.

Very recently, the producer of "Final Fantasy VII Remake" Yoshinori Kitase talked about the progress of the game. Kitase was interviewed by Japanese magazine Famitsu. There, he mentioned that Square Enix and his team are already polishing the scene that fans saw on the announcement trailer. In addition, Kitase did say they are seeing the line of quality they are looking for.

Unfortunately, it is still undecided whether the world can hear some concrete news about "Final Fantasy VII Remake" anytime soon. Although the company and Kitase are planning on releasing details on the game's progress at an event this year, the game admittedly still has a long way to go.

Kitase also mentioned the game's episodic release. According to Famitsu, via Gaming Bolt, Kitase said they are thinking of ways to fill the gap in between releases of the "Final Fantasy VII Remake" episodes. He added that releasing the episodes will take some time.

He also revealed that he would like to keep the smartphone and DLC progress on "Final Fantasy XV" as reference for those filler developments. He said that he would like to do a live stream or any program that will enable them to keep in touch with fans while the next episodes are in development.

Additionally, Kitase himself assured fans that nothing will be left behind from the original game that fans dearly loved. "There's still a lot that I can't say but we won't be removing any parts of the original Final Fantasy VII that was well-received," the producer said as noted by Siliconera.

Lastly, there is a possibility of remaking another beloved "Final Fantasy" title. It seems like the company staff is also asking the producer to remake "Final Fantasy VI." However, since the producer is focused on "FFVII" for now, this remains a pending matter.
