LG is keeping up with the trend trend following recently announced releases for the Watch Sport and Watch Style. However, there seems to be a hint that the company's flagship phone, the LG G6 might also be out soon.

According to Evan Blass, a famed leakster, LG will be unveiling the smartphone by February 26. This is a day ahead of the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, Spain.

The all-metal, IP68 handset will debut in South Korea on March 9, but US consumers have to wait for a month to get hold of the device. American-owned network carriers might unveil LG's flagship smartphone on April 7.

Blass notes that LG will try to bounce back after having dismal sales in 2016. The company's modular G5 smartphone did not exactly capture a large number of users. This is why the South Korean company opted to bring back non-modular models.

LG G6 Specs

The upcoming smartphone might be utilizing a flat 5.7-inch LCD display. The G6 will reportedly be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821.

Storage options include an expandable 256GB microSD slot. The internal storage will also have two variants -- 64GB and 128GB -- and 6GB of RAM.

The phone's camera will be a dual 16-megapixel shooter with (29mm, f/1.8) + 16 MP (12mm, f/1.8). It will have the usual laser autofocus, OIS (3-axis) and built-in LED flash. The secondary front shooter will be a 12-megapixel camera.

The LG G6 will also have a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It comes with a factory standard accelerometer, gyro, proximity, compass and barometer sensors. It will support GSM, HSPA and LTE networks.
