There are so many factions out there arguing over which game - Call of Duty, or Battlefield - is better. Today I am here to set things straight once and for all. Many of you might or might not like what I have to say, but despite that, it has to be said. Let me get to it right now, Call of Duty is better than Battlefield, not by a very long shot, but long enough to be discussed.
Call of Duty Multiplayer is fun
The thing with the Call of Duty is that it is enjoyable right throughout the year because there are so many things to do. The battlefield games get boring after the first 4 months or so, and I could never imagine why that is. If I should get myself acquainted with the old dog that is MW2, I'd have more fun playing that than Battlefield 3. I'm not going to be biased here and say I never had lots of fun playing Battlefield 3. However, as time progresses, the game got boring and I went back to playing Modern Warfare 3 like every other true gamer.
Call of Duty Multiplayer has more options
Multiplayer gaming is great, but it is even better when there is more options at the gamer's disposal. Battlefield games lack many options. Hence why many gamers such as myself find it difficult to give it long term dedication. One multiplayer feature that need mentioning is Zombies in Call of Duty: World at War, and Black Ops. Battlefield 3 fails to have anything that is remotely comparable; everything is just so serious in this game.
Call of Duty has better Single Player Campaign
When you pick up a Call of Duty game, you can be sure to get your full $60 worth. Games are not cheap, and because of that, no game should be lacking in any department with the expectation from developers for us to pay the full price. Battlefield games began life as multiplayer only, then the developer tried to make the game appeal to more audiences by taking on a single player campaign. For all those who played Battlefield single player, I'm sure you'll agree that it looks pretty, but it lacks the fun factor and gets boring fast.
Call of Duty Is Pick Up and Play
There are so many things to do in life these days; one doesn't have the time for learning a new FPS. Battlefield games require a steep learning curve, thus meaning it is not catered to those who only want to have fun and can't be bothered with stupid bullet drops and learning how to fly a jet. Gamers want to jump in and start killing, not to end up dying every 10 seconds until they get to understand what the game is all about. Time is of the essence, folks; don't waste it trying to understand how to play Battlefield games when you could be getting kill streak.
Call of Duty is Played by All
All of your buddies play Call of Duty, and you are the only one wasting time on Battlefield games, it makes no sense. Imagine when you are not around, how your friends scorn you behind your back, they call you names like "Weird Beard", or "Freak on a Leash", only because you don't play Call of Duty.
CODclusion
Call of Duty is the pinnacle of online FPS gaming, like it or not. Battlefield games will never have the same success; I am even willing to go out on an edge here and say that Medal of Honor: Warfighter will appeal to most gamers than Battlefield. How sad would that be?
