Video game developer and publisher has just announced that it will be creating and developing a new RPG and has established a new studio to take charge of the new project. The new Square Enix endeavor is given the working title "Project Prelude Rune."

Square Enix has just announced the creation of a new Studio in Tokyo. The new Square Enix studio will be known as Studio Istolia. According to the Square Enix website, the name of the studio is a Greek word, which means story.

The website also stated that the name Istolia has something to do with the Studio's main goal. That is, provide unforgettable stories. Taking the reins of the Studio is Hideo Barba who has worked as a producer for Bandai Namco's hit "Tales" video game series.

The first project under the new Studio Istolia was also announced by Square Enix with the announcement of the creation of the new Tokyo studio. The new Square Enix RPG is given the working title "Project Prelude Rune."

So far, no details have been given about the new RPG aside from the description given by the video game developer and publisher in its announcement and two "Project Prelude Rune" concept arts. According to the description, the new fantasy RPG will take place on a vast land teeming with life.

The "Project Prelude Rune" concept arts have also revealed some information about the new RPG. The new Square Enix game will be featuring Dragons or, at least, Dragon-like creatures.

Given that Studio Istolia has just been created, it can already be presumed that "Project Prelude Rune" will still take a long way to be introduced. Video games, especially RPGs, usually takes about two to three years to be developed. Square Enix is yet to announce the platforms or game consoles where the new RPG will be released.
