Apple went live with Black Friday deals on the iPad 4, iPad 2, iPod Touch & iPod Nano, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and 11 accessories.
As part of its Black Friday sale, the Cupertino giant has shaved between $41 and $61 off the new iPad with Retina display, i.e. the iPad 4, and $31 off the 16GB iPad 2. The iPod Touch gets a $31 price cut as well, while the MacBook Pro and MacBook Air get a more substantial $101 rebate.
The best deal on Apple's Black Friday site this year appears to be the iPad with Retina display. With the $41 discount, the iPad 4 comes with a $458 price tag instead of $499 for the base model. The iPad 2 comes in at $368 after the $31 discount.
When it comes to Apple laptops, Black Friday cuts the MacBook Pro price tag from $1,699 to $1,598 after the $101 discount. The same discount sees the straight-up MacBook drop from $1,199 to $1,098, and the MacBook Air starting at $898 instead of $999.
The Black Friday deal for the newest iPod Touch sells the device for $268 instead of $299, a $31 price cut. The fourth-generation iPod Touch, meanwhile, gets a $21 discount, selling for $179 instead of $199. The iPod Nano gets a more modest discount of $11, selling for $138 instead of $149 on the Apple Store.
Black Friday Deals on Accessories
Apple's Black Friday deals also include a total of 11 different accessories, including the AirPort Express Base Station, AirPort Extreme Base Station, and Time Capsule. Other accessories up for a Black Friday discount include the Apple Magic Mouse, Magic TrackPad, and the Apple Wireless Keyboard.
Apple is also offering discounts for iPad cases, putting the iPad Smart Case and two types of Smart Covers on sale. The Apple In-Ear Headphones with Remote Mic and Apple EarPods with Remote Mic are also among the Black Friday deals on the Apple store.
Meanwhile, the iPhone 5 and iPad Mini keep their regular price tags, and the minis will not ship for another two weeks. MacMall, however, touted that it has virtually the entire product line in stock, including cellular models. The exception is the 16GB white and black Wi-Fi models, which will ship to customers next week. Target and Wal-Mart have some iPad Minis left for online shipping as well, but they are not offering any discounts either. MacMall is also offering the best price on the 16GB iPad 2 - $329, i.e. a $70 discount - and the entire iPad 3 line (while supplies last).
