Conquer Online, the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) which is developed by TQ Digital Entertainment has just been revamped. The Player vs. Player (PvP) based Chinese martial arts MMORPG has been refreshed with a "brand new style PvP event" i.e. The War of Faith.
The revamped MMORPG world enabled all its players to join and fight, irrespective of whatever part of the world they are in, which is a departure from most online games where a major PvP event is usually restricted on certain ground rules and only players who meet the requirement are able to participate.
However, post the introduction of its "The War of Faith" event, Conquer Online has redefined the PvP aspect for free-to-play MMO games. The new PvP system now removes the boundaries seen in other MMO games, and gives all player an equal opportunity to get involved in the immersive PvP experience, in a bid to gain control of the entire game world.
The battle or "The War of Faith" takes place between two groups and players have the option of choosing which faction they will join, which in turn depends on "which side of a specific topic they support." During the war, all players sport an invisible mask to conceal their identity and, therefore, players would need to partner fighters who "share the same faith and search the whole game world to hunt down those who question it."
Conquer Online's MMORPG is available in several languages like English, Arabic, Japanese, Spanish, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), and French. The game's background is a two-dimensional version of mythical China and has 3D characters.
The gameplay is pretty straightforward and is combat-focused and imbibes elements that are common to MMORPGs such as fame, wealth, and character development. Players can choose from several distinct classes: Archer, Trojan, Ninja, Monk, Pirate, Warrior, and Taoist (post level 40 the Taoist class branches off into two sub-classes).
Conquer Online (CO) is a free-to-play game, with funds provided by an item shop. CO also announced that an even more interesting War of Faith will be releasing before Dec. 20.
Who would you be allying with, the ruthless Pirates or the enigmatic Ninjas?
