The long wait is finally over. Per reports, Activision and Treyarch have announced that Nuketown is finally available as a bonus map for Zombies mode in ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’ to all Xbox 360 DLC Season Pass holders.

What this means is that gamers with the 360 DLC Season Pass will now have access to the timed and exclusive ‘Black Ops 2’ Zombie Maps. Moreover, the Season Pass holders will have access to the map for no additional cost.

The Nuketown Zombies map is a brand new co-op map for the game's zombie mode, and is based off the suburban Nuketown multiplayer map for the first Black Ops. Since launch, it's been exclusively available for players who bought a Collector's Edition of the game.

The Collector’s edition was revealed back in August when Activision revealed the two bundles that players would be able to indulge on this fall. However, ‘Black Ops 2’ Season Pass provides access to all upcoming multiplayer DLC for a one time fee of $49.99.

Treyarch also plans to release four map packs for the shooter in total. That means that if gamers had purchased them individually, they would have to pay $15 apiece. Moreover, they wouldn't get Nuketown Zombies.

“Nuketown Zombies is set during the events of Moon, and after the end of the multiplayer level from the original Black Ops game. A group of radiation scientists are investigating the Nuketown remains and discover soldiers that have been revived by Element 115 from a nearby Nevada base,” the official page states. “The zombie soldiers attack the radiation scientists and turn them, and after receiving a distress signal, the base in Nevada sends in CIA and CDC agents to investigate. Upon arrival in Nuketown the agents lose communication with Hangar 18 and become stranded…setting the stage for Nuketown Zombies.”

As mentioned by the company, Nuketown Zombies will be available for Season Pass holders first on Xbox 360 in December with other platforms to follow, although the DLC content in the Season Pass may be sold separately.

There is no need to purchase the standalone Map Packs once the Season Pass is purchased, as users will be charged separately for them. However, there is a catch – the Season Pass and DLC Map Packs may not be available on all platforms or in all territories, and also the pricing and release dates may vary depending on the platform.
