Ghost Recon: Future Soldier For PC Updated to Version 1.6 – Hardcore Mode Unveiled

'Ghost Recon: Future Soldier' for PC is getting a major boost.

Per reports, Ubisoft's popular third-person shooter title 'Ghost Recon: Future Soldier' has now received a brand new update for its PC players, bumping up to version 1.6.

Ubisoft has kept its promise in delivering a brand new update for PC gamers for the game. Per the release notes and change log, the new patch adds a Hardcore mode to the game. Apart from this, it also improves performance and shadows quality on Guerrilla maps, as well as online stability.

"We're glad to announce that Title Update 1.6 is now available," the official page states. "If your PC is connected to the Internet when you launch Ghost Recon Future Soldier, an auto downloader will pop up to inform you that a game update is available for download and installation."

Apart from the new Hardcore mode, the company is also pushing out the night variants of two adversarial maps - Market and Harbor. There is also the much needed added support for GeForce GT600 and Radeon HD7000 series graphics cards, with fixes to small freezes on multiplayer maps.

Other fixes include alterations to crashes with squad invites, fix to issues when loosing network connection in Guerrilla mode, and other issues that were previously reported by the community. Players will also be happy to know that the popular MP-412 handgun (Bodark) and additional weapon skins have been unlocked for everyone, with the first Respec Token earned has a unlimited use.

The Hardcore mode is a PC-exclusive update and users are set to benefit from it for their respective campaigns. Players will be interested to know that with this update, which actually makes the maps even more challenging, teammates will be less resistant, there will be less bullets to play with, damages will be more lethal (+30 percent damage), enemies will now shoot more quickly than usual when equipped with weapons such as RPG, shotguns, and snipers, and much more.

Hardcore mode - With Title Update 1.6, PC players benefit from an exclusive hardcore mode for the campaign. Here's what you can expect:
-Teammates are less resistant;
-Optical camo deactivated if the player moves;
-Several changes to the intel; eg: sensor grenades only last for 3 seconds, drones & goggles less "powerful";
-Enemies shoot much more quickly when equipped with weapons such as RPG, shotguns, snipers;
-Players die... much more quickly... and regen is slow;
-More lethal (+30% damage);
-Less bullets.

Additional Notes:
-Added the support for the 'Raven Strike' and 'Khyber Strike' DLC.
-Improved performance on complex maps, e.g. 'Shattered Mountain'.
-Improved visual quality.
-Changed global illumination on most maps. 'Global Illumination' option has to be re-adjusted again in Graphics Options to reflect change in performance.
