Ubisoft has released a brand new DLC for the multiplayer component of 'Assassin's Creed 3' called the Battle Hardened DLC pack.
The DLC is currently available only on the Xbox Live Marketplace and PlayStation Store. PC gamers, however, will have to wait till Jan. 15 for the pack to be made available to them. The pack costs 800 Microsoft points or $10, and is also included as part of the 'Assassin's Creed 3' Season Pass.
"The Battle Hardened Pack extends the Assassin's Creed III multiplayer experience with three new playable characters and maps, plus awesome bonus items! Become the influential Governor, the resilient Highlander or the fearsome Coyote Man," the official page states. "Journey through Charlestown, Fort St-Mathieu, and Saint Pierre as you stalk your enemies and fight to protect your team. Rally your troops, discover your power in numbers and ignite the revolution!"
This fresh new DLC follows hot on the heels of last month's Hidden Secrets expansion, which offered three new missions and some unlockable weapons. Moreover, also set for a future release is the episodic The Tyranny of King Washington expansion.
The Tyranny of King Washington will feature an all-new single-player campaign told through three episodic content packs in which players will experience an alternate history of the American Revolution.
"As the revolution comes to a close, a new and most unexpected enemy emerges. Driven by the desire to secure the fate of the colonies, the Revolution's greatest hero, George Washington succumbs to the temptation of infinite power a new King is born," the official page says.
"In addition to this all-new single player experience, the Assassin's Creed III downloadable content will feature new maps and characters for an even more expansive multiplayer experience as well as other single-player missions."
Additionally, Ubisoft has released a new update (patch) for the PC version of the game. This patch will update the game's version to 1.02 and will be auto-downloaded from UPLAY. Unluckily though, this update does not fix the much talked about negative SLI scaling and there are still various graphical glitches that players on PC will have to deal with.
