PC-based 'Skyrim' fans have some pretty good news in store.
Per reports, the highly anticipated Dragonborn DLC for 'Skyrim' is now available on Steam for pre-purchase. This is a brand new offer for all PC players after developer Bethesda earlier confirmed that the add-on will be made available for PC gamers on Feb. 5.
The Dragonborn DLC went up for pre-order this weekend, and this is a little more than a weekend before it finally becomes available for download. However, fans should note that they will not be getting any kind of bonuses for pre-ordering the DLC, apart from paying up before time to get the add-on as soon as it arrives.
The DLC is now set to arrive on PC next month for $19.99, including the English, French, Italian, Spanish and German versions of the content. While the price of the add-on may look a bit steep, PC users will take hope from the fact that Xbox 360 users have already heaped praises on the expansion, and said plenty of good things.
The DLC reached the Xbox 360 players first on Dec. 4 since Bethesda has signed an exclusivity deal with Microsoft which binds the company to release all the existing DLCs as well as the ones planned for the future earlier on the Microsoft-based console.
The new DLC will let players leave the province of Skyrim and travel to the coastal island of Solstheim, where they will encounter the Dark Elven settlers of Raven Rock and the native Skaal, with the players setting their sights on unraveling the mystery of a Dragonborn's return.
Players will also need to harness the power of the Voice as they face off against the first Dragonborn. There is the option to wield new shouts and spells including Dragon Aspect that will allow the player to summon the inner power of a dragon to deliver colossal blows and strengthen other shouts.
"Encounter new towns, dungeons, and quests, as you traverse the ash wastes and glacial valleys of this new land. Become more powerful with shouts that bend the will of your enemies and even tame dragons. Your fate, and the fate of Solstheim, hangs in the balance as you face off against your deadliest adversary - the first Dragonborn," the official page states.
