The wait for many iOS fans has finally come to an end as Evad3rs have released the iOS 6.1 untethered jailbreak evasi0n, which is now available to download for free.
Apple released iOS 6 along with iPhone 5 in September last year and soon after, the over-the-air update followed to other iOS devices.
All previous Apple mobile operating systems have been hacked; however, hackers struggled to invade the robust security system of iOS 6 i.e. until now. A group of well-known hackers Pod2g, Planetbeing, Musclenerd, and Pimskeks joined forces to announce the birth of a new iOS 6 jailbreak team called Evad3rs and released the untethered iOS 6.1 jailbreak dubbed evasi0n.
The jailbreak offered by Evad3rs is now live and free to download. A word of caution, users should be warned against fake Web sites claiming to offer the download and earlier, evad3rs warned users of the same.
"Please stay away from such websites as official Evasi0n iOS 6 Jailbreak tool has not released yet. We will inform you of the real Jailbreak iOS 6 tool for jailbreaking iOS 6 as soon as we have information. Till then, do yourself a favor and stay away from any tools which claim jailbreaking iOS 6.x on iPad 4,3,2, Mini, iPhone 5,4S,4 or iPod touch 4G/5G," noted evad3rs earlier.
Previous reports indicated that Apple is making it difficult for hackers to jailbreak the rigid security system of iOS 6 and would make it even more difficult if iDevices are running on iOS 6.1. As such, Evad3rs previously notified iDevice users not to update to iOS 6.1 when Apple released the latest update.
Many iDevice owners want to jailbreak their devices to customize them to suit their personal needs and install apps, which are not permitted by Apple to run on iDevices. However, now you can jailbreak your iDevice using the guidelines given by Evad3rs.
To jailbreak you require "an iPhone, iPad or iPod running iOS 6.0 through 6.1" according to evasi0n.
