The long awaited iOS 6.x jailbreak has arrived courtesy Evad3rs with over 100,000 downloads taking place within just ten minutes of release. However, many users have reported that evasi0n iOS 6 Jailbreak crashes the Weather app on iPhone and reveals it on iPad.
iPhone users who use the Weather app quite frequently may find it a bit difficult as the app crashes every time you try to open it. After the jailbreak iPad owners will automatically find the fully functional Weather app on the tablet's home screen.
The jailbreak team Evad3rs, which consists of Pod2g, Planetbeing, Musclenerd, and Pimskeks are aware of the Weather app niggles and seem to be working on a fix.
"Ignore that extra app you see (which is it?) after #evasi0n on iPads. It was always there but is normally hidden by a plist entry," tweeted MuscleNerd. "For those seeing the Weather app problem, @planetbeing has started working on a fix. Until then, just don't go outside."
Pod2g also tweeted "We are currently investigating the weather app problem. A fix will popup on cydia when the problem is understood."
Apple released iOS 6 in September last year with iPhone 5 being the first iDevice to be packed with the latest OS. The company also rolled out over-the-air (OTA) update to other iDevices soon after. Hackers have been struggling hard to crack into the internal security of iOS 6 and its only now that a successful jailbreak has been released.
Previous reports also indicated that the release of iOS 6.1 will make it even difficult to jailbreak the OS. However, after the official release of iOS 6.1 by Apple, the jailbreak for the OS followed soon after.
Are you facing issues with the Weather app of your iPhone or iPad after iOS 6.x jailbreak?
