The upcoming 'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' from CD Projekt Red has been in contention for quite some time now, and now there's a host of reports that suggests the existence of the RPG's (Role Playing Game) existence, and it could also arrive sooner than expected.
'The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt' has already been hailed as the next-generation of RPG gaming. The title will be a brand new addition to the series' already dark and popular open-world titles. However, although fans expect the game to hit the store shelves this year, this may not happen, and fans may have to wait until 2014.
Although nothing substantial is known about the game, as of now, but it can be safely stated that the game will be huge and is currently being built using the brand new REDengine 3. It is already being said that 'Wild hunt' will take place in a world that rivals the one in the popular 'Skyrim,' and will be larger than any environments that were featured in the first two games in the series.
"Wild Hunt boasts a world thirty times the size of its predecessor and even larger than the rather massive Skyrim. All of this without a single load screen. So a big seamless world built using the same engine as Cyberpunk 2077, but that's not all," Forbes states.
According to a different Game Informer report, CD Projekt Red hasn't actually mentioned that the game is coming to the next-gen consoles, but said that it's coming to PC and all other "high-end" platforms that are currently available in the market. However, there is also a probability that the game might also end up arriving on the highly speculated next-gen consoles from both Microsoft and Sony - Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4, respectively.
Interestingly, REDengine 3 is also the same engine that has been used to develop the highly talked about 'Cyberpunk 2077.' The press release for the game also goes on to provide details about the engine's capabilities, stating that REDengine 3 is a "next-gen-ready solution that begins to blur the line between pre-rendered CGI movies and real time rendered graphics, bringing us closer to the most life-like world ever created in video games.
"All the state-of-the-art visuals form a living ecosystem allowing the player to be a part of a vivid environment. The new face and body-animation systems implemented in REDengine 3 offer realistic expression of emotions, movie-quality scenes and character interactions."
As far as the new 'Witcher' game is concerned, fans can expect to learn more about Geralt's past, with Geralt, this time, sporting a trendy looking beard. Moreover, there is also the possibility to bring forward such an enormous world (30 times the size of 'The Witcher 2') with no load screens, which will make the game truly seamless.
