Good news for all PlayStation 3-based 'Skyrim' fans in North America and Europe.
Per reports, developer Bethesda has announced both the release date and pricing details for the DLCs of the company's popular action role-playing open world title 'Skyrim' for its PlayStation 3 players.
While the DLCs were already available to Xbox 360 and PC gamers on time, the DLCs Dragonborn, Dawnguard, and Hearthfire were delayed for the fans on PlayStation 3. This was mainly due to the fact that the game emerged to be filled with different bugs on the PS3, and had a lot of problems with performance issues and other glitches, making the game unplayable for many.
The company also confirmed the fact that the game had issues on the PlayStation 3 and mentioned that Sony was helping them repair the problems with the DLCs. However, now the company has finally made it clear that it is ready to release the DLCs for the PS3 players, with an additional 50 percent discount confirmed by Sony for PS3 users if they buy it on the first week. Moreover, the game will also be updated to version 1.8.
"Let the official countdown to Dragonborn, Dawnguard, and Hearthfire on PS3 begin, the official report states. "This week Dragonborn, Dawnguard, Hearthfire, and the 1.8 title update have all cleared certification with SCEA. As we speak, we're working with Sony Europe to finalize certification for other territories."
The North American dates for the DLCs are as follows:
For European players, the dates are:
"For folks with the French, Italian, German, or Spanish release of the game, we continue to work with Sony to finalize these dates. We'll update this post when we have the dates," Bethesda writes.
For those who are not aware as to what the update 1.8 brings, the update provides a number of bug fixes like general memory and stability improvements, fixes to rare crashes when using vampiric grip, fixes to issues where Arnleif and Sons Trading Company could become permanently locked, fixes to issues related to duplicate NPCs, and also a fix to an issue where exterior door would not open properly.
