Google is yet to announce Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, but an official listing for the LG Optimus L7 2 teases the new software version.
Various rumors, leaks and speculations already indicated that the latest version of Google's mobile operating system, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is coming soon, but this time it's different. This is not a dubious leak, nor a rumor, nor anything like that. It's an official listing on a reputable company's website, which has far more credibility.
Amid all the rumors and anticipation, the official product page for the upcoming LG Optimus L7 2 Dual clearly lists Android 4.3 Jelly Bean as its operating system. Google has yet to release the new version of its popular OS, but manufacturers most likely have access to Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for some time now.
As TechTastic points out, the intriguing listing could have two explanations: it may be nothing more than a simple typo (although if it were meant to be a previous version it would likely have been Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, not just 4.2 to justify a one-digit typo), or LG actually has an Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update in tow for the Optimus L7 2 and accidentally listed it on the product page before Google got to make it official.
It's also worth noting that Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is actually listed twice on the product page, which further lowers the chances of it being a typo.
While most people expected Google to make an Android announcement at its recent I/O conference, the tech giant gracefully danced around the topic and offered no information about its future plans for the OS. Google will likely announce the new Jelly Bean version soon enough, especially after such seemingly accidental listings.
It remains unclear for now just what new features Android 4.3 Jelly Bean will bring, or when it will actually become available. If anything, the LG Optimus L7 2 listing suggests the wait is nearly over and Android 4.3 Jelly Bean should pop up shortly, running the show on new devices.
The LG product page makes no mention of launch date for the Optimus L7 2, but typically if a product page is up, detailing the device's specs and features, it means the actual device launch is not too far off. Stay tuned for more details.
