The HTC One Max, also referred to as the T6, has leaked extensively in recent months and reports keep piling up.
This device is expected to launch soon as the larger sibling of the HTC One flagship smartphone. After numerous reports and leaks made their way online recently, the latest leak shows the HTC One Max alongside the two other members of the family, the HTC One Mini and the regular HTC One.
The HTC One Max will make its debut as a massive phablet sporting a 5.9-inch display, as previously rumored. The new leak from ePrice, however, brings something else to the table.
The latest leak comes from ePrice, which claims that the upcoming HTC One Max may also boast a fingerprint sensor, which may be located behind that big square visible just below the camera. Furthermore, the leaked image suggests that the handset may feature a three-pin dock connector on its side. Otherwise, the overall design looks similar to the original HTC One, as expected.
The newly-leaked image is also accompanied by some new information about the purported HTC One Max. The device will reportedly become available sometime in mid-October or even toward the end of that month, which would be later than previously rumored. If the device will indeed sport a fingerprint sensor, however, that delay may be understandable.
A mid- to late-October launch would also mean that Samsung will launch its new Galaxy Note 3 phablet before HTC gets to unleash its One Max, getting a considerable head start. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is one of the most anticipated devices of this year and any consumers looking for a high-end phablet may not want wait any longer for the HTC One Max to make its debut.
The HTC One Max is expected to boast a massive 5.9-inch Full HD (1080p) display and the latest quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, which has become a must-have for any upcoming device that claims to be high-end.
Keep in mind, however, that none of these details are confirmed yet, so it is advisable to take things with a healthy dose of skepticism until HTC makes everything official.
