Cancellation of Xbox One game "Scalebound" sent ripples of worry into the future of other Microsoft exclusive titles to include "Phantom Dust," a title that is teeming with too many changes of its own.

While Xbox One promises exhilarating gaming experience in 2017, gamers are adamant to dive into "Phantom Dust" hype after bad experience with "Scalebound." Microsoft have already eaten up much time in developing "Phantom Dust" although the project was revived in 2016 and promised to be up and running this 2017, according to Polygon.

"Phantom Dust" have been in the pipeline for so long so gamers have been surprised to hear from it again. At any rate, worried fans have all the rights to doubt Xbox One in delivering first-party games since downfall of "Scalebound." However, Xbox executive Phil Spencer reiterates that the decision is for the benefit of Xbox One players.

Meanwhile, the best hope for "Phantom Dust" is general manager Sharon Loftis who stressed that everything is going quite well. Every aspect sails smoothly and "Phantom Dust" might even release on its original timeline.

While Sharon's answer to Twitter user Mike Mayoral's question about "Phantom Dust" update is short, it is no less reassuring. Then another fan Vern asked if what is taking "Panthom Dust" too long. Sharon replied that they want to bring a fantastic game by doing decent work on the title. Apparently, Sharon is also referring to other Xbox One exclusive like "Fable" and "Project Spark."

Meanwhile, Xbox One have found some support for decision to scrap "Scalebound" and crawling pace of "Phantom Dust." TheWolfHall has series of reactions that support Microsoft for implementing quality control. This is implicating that titles like "Phantom Dust" need to pass certain criteria before being unleashed.

To cap the discussion, 2017 is young and fate of titles like "Phantom Dust" still remains to be seen. Is 2017 going to be a rocky ride for Xbox One or will they surprise fans with "Phantom Dust" along the way?
