The Xiaomi Mi Mix has apparently attracted a lot of users because of its all ceramic back and many of them think that it's more of premium material that the aluminum, plastic and glass, which are common to most smartphones creation. Reports say that a ceramic body is might be in the works.

Now, apart from the information that the Xiaomi Mi 6 will have three different versions (with a flat screen and MediaTek's Helio X30, one with a flat screen running Qualcomm's Snapdragon 835 and another top of the line dual-curved touchscreen and Snapdragon 835), there have been hints saying that the upcoming phone will feature a ceramic back.

Reports say that despite the positive response and praise that the Xiaomi Mi Mix has received since it was launched in 2016, it's a ‘very fragile phone' that will break if a user will drop it in just two feet. However, if the Xiaomi Mi 6 will feature a ceramic back with a bit more bezel will certainly lessen this issue.

The news came from China that the highest-end and most pricey iteration of Xiaomi Mi 6 is getting a ceramic body like the Mi Mix and a 6 GB of RAM and the other two flat screen models will have 4 GB of memory, according to GSM Arena. Its 12 MP camera will be using Sony's IMX362 sensor, the software would be Android 7.0 Nougat with 3,000 mAh battery life.

The phone will also be offered in two storage capacity options - the 128 GB and the 256 GB storage although neither would be the entry-level amount. Its cheapest variant is reportedly to be retailed in China for CNY 1,999 or $290, the mid-tier model will cost CNY 2,499 or $363 and the top of the line iteration with dual-curved display and ceramic body will be at CNY 2,999 or $435 price point.

There are no word from Xiaomi just yet as to when the Mi 6 would be released in the market but it previous reports say that it would be March or April this year. Stay tuned.
