Last Thursday, Blizzard held a special livestream Q&A for Diablo 3 upcoming playable class, the Necromancer. Hosted by Lead FX artist Julian Love, community manager Brandy Camel and senior game designer Travis Day revealed a lot of information regarding 'Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer' DLC. It includes the Necromancer's character, gameplay and skills.

The hosts also revealed some interesting information regarding future patches and the in-game changes to expect. Here's what we know so far:

Release Date, Pricing, and Expansion Items. Right off the bat, community manager Brandy Camel informed viewers that release date and pricing for Diablo just isn't ready for reveal yet. However, Mic reports that a simultaneous release date for both PC and console is confirmed.

"Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" DLC contains the Necromancer as a playable character, a new in-game pet, a portrait frame, pennant, banner and banner sigil and two additional character slots. PC players also get two additional stash tabs.

Class-specific Scythes and Golems. The 44-minute livestream gave community members a wealth of information regarding the Necromancer's character. A summarized version of the questions and answers can be found here. Skill-wise, Julian Love and Travis Day have confirmed several major details.

For instance, Day has confirmed that Golems will be returning, and Necromancer's may summon around four or five of them. The Blood Golem will be making a comeback, but not all Diablo 2 Golem types will be brought forward to D3.

Day also mentions that they're developing a suite of two-hand Scythes that are specifically for the Necromancer to use. As far as weapons go, the Necromancer will be able to wield any weapon that isn't class-specific, so a melee-focused Necromancer build is possible in D3.

New Areas, Other Features Mentioned And More. During the livestream, viewers could submit on-the-spot questions via the comment section. One comment from the admin mentions that "The Moors and the Temple of the Firstborn are new areas to explore in an upcoming patch." No follow-up was made to that comment, but it's definitely something worth looking forward to.

"Diablo 3: Rise of the Necromancer" DLC will be available for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. PC Players must own both "Diablo 3" and "Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls" to access the Necromancer DLC. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 players will need "Diablo 3" and "Diablo 3: The Ultimate Evil Edition." You can watch the video replay of the live Q&A below.
