The LG G6's price has been leaked by Mahesh Telecom. The revelation comes via a tweet from the Mumbai-based retailer that point to a starting price of INR 51,990 (about $805) for the new smartphone, which is scheduled to go on sale from Saturday, April 29.

It's worth noting that the aforesaid date actually alludes to when the stock will be available, which might not necessarily be the as in-store availability. If this proves to be true, LG might outmaneuver Samsung in India by making the G6 available ahead of the long-awaited Galaxy S8's May 5 availability. LG G6 Specifications & Features

Both the LG G6 and Samsung Galaxy S8 come with a near bezel-less form factor with an 18:9 aspect ratio. The G6 features a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, which is placed underneath the dual camera setup. Moreover, the G6 is publicized as the first smartphone that supports Dolby Vision, according to Gadgets 360.

LG took the wraps off its G6 smartphone at the recently concluded MWC (Mobile World Congress) in Barcelona. A successor to 2016's modular phone i.e. the G5, the LG G6 sports a wide-angle 13MP dual rear camera system with two 13MP sensors -- one for wide-angle shots with f/2.4 aperture and 125-degree lens, and the other for regular shots with OIS 2.0 and 71-degree lens. There's a 5MP wide-angle lens with 100-degree lens and f/2.2 aperture as well.

Under the hood, the G6 packs a 2.35GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, coupled with Adreno 530 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The device has 32/64GB of expandable internal memory (via a microSD card slot). The G6 comes with a removable 3,300mAh battery with fast charging support, IndiaToday reported.

In terms of connectivity, the LG G6 includes USB Type-C 2.0, NFC, Bluetooth v4.2, and Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac. Moreover, the G6 supports LTE-A 3 Band CA network. Its dimensions are 148.9x71.9x7.9mm and it weighs in at 163 grams. The G6 will be up for grabs in a slew of color options including Mystic White, Ice Platinum, and Astro Black.
