The users of Sony Xperia Z across the world are eagerly waiting for the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for their devices. Now it seems that the wait is going to get over very soon as a report suggests that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Sony Xperia Z is going to come in July.

According to a report from Xperia Blog, Australian carrier Telstra mentioned the arrival date of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for Xperia Z smartphone on its handset update page.

The page also shows that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update for the Xperia Z has already arrived and is being tested. The new firmware is expected be approved by July 1 and the public release of the firmware might take place on July 15.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for the Xperia Z has been in rumors regularly in recent time and a few days ago a video had also appeared showing features of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware on a Sony Xperia Z handset.

Hints of Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean's arrival have been coming in from time to time, but there is no official statement about the firmware's release so far.

The Sony Xperia Z has not reached the U.S. market but the device is reported to be heading to T-Mobile network 'exclusively'.

T-Mobile recently announced that the Sony Xperia Z is going to be available on its network and the device is going to be T-Mobile exclusive. However, the company didn't reveal anything about the date of arrival and the pricing details.

"T-Mobile customers traveling this summer will love the Xperia Z with its big, beautiful HD screen, water-resistant design and advanced camera features," T-Mobile's Vice President of Product Marketing Jason Young said in a press release. "This is an outstanding combination: a premium 4G LTE smartphone with Sony's best features coupled with T-Mobile's unlimited data and speedy nationwide network."

"With Xperia Z, we are thrilled to bring a breakthrough smartphone to T-Mobile, the breakout carrier in the U.S.," added Timothy Hernquist, North America Vice President of Marketing at Sony Mobile Communications. "Xperia Z offers customers a beautifully designed, water-resistant premium Android smartphone ready to handle whatever life throws at it."
