ASUS ZenFone AR: Blends Google Tango & Daydream VR Technology In One Handset Device
Gloven RamosThe ASUS ZenFone AR has been reported to launch this year with the new amazing features. But this handset device includes features that are rare to many smartphones today.
Augmented Reality or AR was reportedly included in the ASUS ZenFone or the Asus ZenFone AR. Subsequently, the Google's Daydream VR platform is also reported to include in this upcoming new handset.
The ASUS ZenFone AR is actually not the first smartphone to feature Google's Tango and Daydream VR technologies. But this will be the first smartphone to have these both in one handset at the same time.
Motorola Z, Pixel, and Pixel XL are the previous Google's phones that work with the Daydream VR platform. Lenovo Phab 2 Pro, however, is the only smartphone to support Google Tango tech, until the ASUS ZenFone AR was released.
According to CNET report, combining VR and a movement-sensing like Tango or AR could lead to virtual reality apps and games tracking movement across a room. This enables VR experiences like those available on higher-end systems like the PC-based HTC Vive that otherwise require external boxes or sensors.
Except from Google Tango and Daydream VR tech, the ASUS ZenFone AR is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor. Making it faster than the many latest smartphone handsets today.
The Tech Nave report cited that ASUS is one of the big names in the event that will showcase new products. The ASUS ZenFone AR smartphone is scheduled to launch on the CES 2017, but the company's partner, Qualcomm, accidentally revealed the device before the launching date.
Smartphone technology becomes more and more better every year. Every manufacturer introduces innovations and inventions to their products to not only to give ease to the users, but also to top in the market. Like this ASUS ZenFone AR, it is perhaps will be the bridge for another smartphone generation.
