It has long been said the Xbox 360 is more than just a video game console. Now the console is getting its very first exclusive movie, called PULP. This is a movie without any major stars in it, no big budget, and that's why it's coming to Xbox Live instead of theaters.

PULP is a low-budget British comedy that has gone on to be nominated for multiple awards on the international film festival scene. The movie revolves around a comic book publisher who finds himself in hot water; he must now become part of a plot to take down a major crime syndicate. PULP is available on Xbox Live right now, but only for those who are living in the UK; there's no word if it will ever be available for users in other countries at a later date.

PULP could be the movie that opens the floodgates for Microsoft. If it becomes successful, there is a high chance for other small filmmakers to consider releasing content on Xbox Live in the not so distant future.

PULP's Description:

In a world first, multi-award nominated comedy feature film, PULP, is available exclusively on Xbox. Described by SFX magazine as "Withnail and I meets Spaced", PULP is a laugh-out loud comedy that's become a sensation on the international film festival circuit. Tony Leary, the nice-guy owner of Junk Comics, is gearing up for one last roll of the dice. His new superhero title, The Sodomizer, launches at the British International Comic Show, and nothing will stop Tony from making it a success. Nothing except a gang of Geordie criminals who are using another comic company to launder their dirty money. Tony is drafted by the police to identify the culprits and bring them to justice. Aided by his trusty geek sidekicks, Rick and Keith, Tony must defy the odds if he is to become a real life hero. You've seen superhero movies. You've never seen a movie like this. Enter the world of PULP.
